July 14th marked a milestone moment — the official close of our 2024-25 season — and what a way to finish! Our U16 ECNL RL Boys stepped onto the biggest stage and made history, bringing home HFC’s first-ever National Championship. This team didn’t just win a trophy — they set a new standard and showed what belief, unity, and hard work can truly achieve.

Their incredible summer run has lit a fire that will inspire generations of HFC players to come. And we can’t wait to give them the celebration they deserve when we’re all back on the field this Fall. The boys entered ECNL RL Regionals in June, as the #15 Seed (out of 16). Despite being the underdogs, the boys showed the region their worth by winning all four games on the way to their Regional Title. The result meant that for a third successive year; a HFC Boys Team has been crowned ECNL RL Regional Champions and punched their ticket to the National Finals. 

Entering the Elite Eight in Richmond, VA, the boys were full of confidence and weren't going to let anyone get in their way of success! The boys kicked off the event with a suspenseful PK shoot-out and after going 5/5 from the spot, advanced to the Final Four. Thankfully, the boys still had energy in the tank and avoided the need for PKs with a 2-1 Win! Going into the final, it was East Coast vs West Coast as the boys faced off vs Legends FC (CA). After an epic end-to-end battle, with five minutes to go in OT, Alex Goal-vochuk rounded the goal-keeper to do what he does best, and scored the decisive and historic goal!! Full Time... 1-0 National Champions HFC.

With the season officially wrapped, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the amazing postseason our ECNL RL  Boys Program delivered:
