Beginning in the Fall 2022 season, ABYSA will be moving to an online uniform ordering system with Lloyd's Soccer. Lloyd's Soccer has been our HFC competitive uniform provider for over a decade and has provided exceptional quality and service to our HFC families in that time! Our ABYSA Recreation Staff has been continually evaluating our uniform ordering processes for the past several years and we believe that the time is right to make the transition to online ordering so that our ABYSA recreation families can experience a uniform system built around your needs.
Why Change the Process Now?
As ABYSA is expanding to provide recreation programming to many communities in the greater area of Western North Carolina, we realize it's become necessary for us to provide a uniform solution that was equally easy and convenient for any family, regardless of where you live. Lloyd's Soccer will be taking all uniform orders directly from every ABYSA family through the uniform ordering link below and will ship your uniform directly to your doorstep! This means that ABYSA coaches, parents, and grandparents no longer need to go to the ABYSA office or coordinate a game-day pick up for your player's uniform; The uniform will go straight to you!
Will the Uniforms Still Change Every Summer?
No. ABYSA uniforms will also transition to a multi-year uniform cycle. One of the benefits of the new uniforms we have selected will be that we can extend the time between style changes to help families save money by only purchasing a uniform when YOU need to! Because Lloyd's Soccer has the ability to provide individual replacement items it will be easier than ever to order a new jersey when your player loses or outgrows the last one!
** IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ABYSA FAMILIES WITH HFC ACADEMY AND COMPETITIVE PLAYERS**
If you have your Lloyd's username and password for your HFC Academy or HFC Competitive player saved on your computer, you may have to 'Log Out' in order to see the ABYSA Recreation Store. If it directs you to the main "My Uniform," webpage, select the "Spirit Store" (look for the foam finger) button and the ABYSA Recreation should be one of the first options to click on and then you can order your ABYSA Recreation uniform.

Due to the curriculum structure of these age-group programs, many practice games require teams to mix or work together in order to complete the skill building objectives in the practice portion of the day, so being able to divide teams easily with scrimmage vests is critical to the coaches' ability to run easy practice and game sessions.

As our 7U & Up Programs expand to a larger area of WNC, our traditional color system, based off of local high school districts, has become more and more difficult to manage and execute without teams playing the same color opponent throughout the season. Because of this, we believe that transitioning to a 2 jersey (Home-Away uniform) system will help provide a better game day experience for all of our older teams.
What other equipment does my player need?
The only personal equipment required, other than the jersey shirts (above), are shin guards and a soccer ball for each player. Soccer cleats are highly recommended since other footwear can be extremely difficult for players to avoid slipping or control the soccer ball. Cleats with metal blades (eg. baseball cleats) are not allowed in the ABYSA Recreation league do the significantly higher chance of accidental injury when playing.
Any of these items can purchased at Arsenal Athletics in the Asheville Mall, Dick's Sporting Goods, or anywhere that sporting equipment is sold. Each player should bring an appropriate size soccer ball to all activities if at all possible:

**Ordering a uniform does not mean that your player is registered with ABYSA. If you order a uniform, but do not register through PlayMetrics, we will not be able to place you with a team and add you to team/league communications.**
