HFC Academy Camp (8U-13U)

Who is eligible for Academy Camp:

• Rising 8U - 13U players who are new, or existing HFC Academy players. 

HFC offers camps during the summer for 8U - 13U players who will be participating in the HFC Academy Program, or have recently graduated. This camp is staffed by the HFC Academy Directors and members of the HFC Staff, providing the players with a great opportunity to get acclimated to the demands of the program, learn new skills, and have fun playing soccer.

Full Day Camps
These camps will run from 9am-4pm each day of the week. The cost is $270. These camps are a great way for players to have fun, keep up with skills, and receive Academy level instructions at a camp during the summer. Full day camps are also a convenient option for families that cannot do a lunchtime pick up for their player.

The basic camp structure each week is for players to do skill training in the mornings, small sided games and scrimmages in the afternoon. Players get dropped off at the field between 8:45-9:00am, camp day ends at 4:00pm. Throughout the week various topics and techniques will be covered, these include juggling, dribbling, passing & possession, shooting & finishing. Players will be trained to refine their game using developmentally appropriate exercises and small sided games.

At the end of each camp day from 2:00-3:30pm players will participate in some lighter activities with it being the hottest time of the day.

Half Day Camps
These camps will run from 9am-12pm each day of the week. The cost is $180. These camps are meant to have a higher level of intensity for the Academy aged player since we avoid training/playing during the hottest time of the day. The half day camp is still intended for the players to have fun but there will be a little more demand on the players regarding their technical competency, tactical understanding and physical output.
