The Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association (ABYSA) is a 501( c ) 3 not for profit organization providing children and families in Western North Carolina with both recreational and competitive soccer programs. Soccer is America’s most popular participation sport for youth, and is a fun and healthy activity for all kids! In addition to individual donations, ABYSA has been very fortunate to receive grants from the Rudnick Foundation, the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina’s Summertime Kids Fund, as well as donations from the Charles and Betti Saunders Foundation. However, in an effort to reach more and more at-risk and under-served youth in the Asheville area, ABYSA needs continued financial and volunteer support to help sustain these programs.

ABYSA Outreach programs offers the benefits of physical exercise, healthy snack opportunities, team-building, skill acquisition and mastery, life skills development, team participation, self-confidence development, and confliction resolution skills—to a target population of low-income, at-risk children youth who are otherwise neglected by other youth sports organizations.
