NCYSA Premier League Champs

NCYSA 2-time Premier League Champions

As we watch many of the girls on this team celebrate their High School senior nights this week, we want to recognize one of the most successful girls teams in HFC history. In their final fall season as a team, the HFC 01/00 Red Girls team won the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) Premier Division as a U18 team. The NCYSA Premier Division is the top level of play in the state. This marks the second time that this team has won the NCYSA Premier Division which makes them the only girls’ team in the clubs 30+ year history to win the division twice.

Among the accomplishment of winning two Premier league titles this group of girls also advanced to the the NCYSA State Cup Final Four in 2016 and competed in the US Youth Soccer Region III Premier League in 2017.

This team is made up of players from across Western North Carolina, representing 7 counties and 10 high schools. Members of the 2018 HFC 01 Red G team are: Emily Baird (North Henderson), Eden Hawkins *(Hendersonville High ), Emma Reimels* (AC Reynolds), Mary Taylor Jackson and Brantley Compton (Asheville Christian Academy), Reese Alley *(Polk ), Anna Morgan (Smoky Mountain), Lauren Singleton* and Sarah Swaim* (Tuscola), Kennedy Rucker* and Keeley Simmons* (TC Robinson), Olivia Lendermen* and Megan Dephouse* (Asheville),  Morgan Hill* ( Rutherfordton ), * Patricia Summers (  Hibriten High School/Caldwell Early College High School) and Abby Mc Connell* (Home School).

*Denotes the players who were on the HFC 01 Red G team who won the NCYSA Premier Division Twice.

In addition to this, there are 5 players who will continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level:
Morgan Hill - UNC Pembroke
Kennedy Rucker - UNC Pembroke
Patricia Summers - Pfeiffer
Sarah Swaim - Coker College
Reese Alley - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Lastly, we also want to congratulate Jason ReMine who coached this group of girls through all of this success from 2015 - 2018.

What these girls have achieved deserves high levels of praise, as this accomplishment is quite incredible given the high level at which they compete. More importantly, each girl displays great character and act as a great example for all of our younger players to learn from. HFC is very lucky to have had these players as part of our program and couldn’t be prouder of this great achievement.

Please join us in wishing them a congratulations and best of luck as they move on to their next phase of life.
